What is there for us in that?” He said: “A reward for every hair.” (Sunan Ibn Mâjah)

What is Qurbani

Wacib Sacrifice: It is slaughtering an animal such as sheep, goat, cattle and camel on the days of Eid-al-Adha, with the intention of worship, for closeness to Allahu Teala.

For whom is the Qurbani obligatory?

Sacrifice is also obligatory for those for whom the alms of fitr is obligatory. In other words, it is obligatory for every Muslim who has nisab and is a free resident. The sacrifice is sacrificed in exchange for the person's own soul. It has been declared that the sins of the believer who sacrifices an animal will be forgiven with the first blood spilled from the sacrifice that is sacrificed with a sincere intention for the sake of Allah.

When should the Qurbani be sacrificed?

Wacib qurbani sacrifice time is the first, second and third days of Eid al-Adha. However, it is more virtuous to cut on the first day.

Qurbani Organisations

There are Islamic sensitivities regarding the qurbanies whose power of attorney is taken for the worship of sacrifice. Every detail, from the taking of the attorney to the delivery of the qurbanies is carried out with the team of our association, which has more than 20 years of experience. Throughout the year, through our permanent representatives in the region, your vajib, votive, akika, gratitude and other vain sacrifices are carefully slaughtered in hundreds of regions in 42 different countries of Africa and Indonesia.

Preparations of Qurbanies

You can order your qurbani on our website, by calling our association or by coming to our association center, and proxies are taken verbally by our team formed in our association center with extreme care. According to the intention of the qurbani and the type of qurbani, the information is conveyed to the representatives in the country where the organization will be held by proxy.

There are people in need, especially in rural areas. Our permanent representatives and members in the countries of the region go to the regions where the most suitable animals are to be determined for the qurbanies that the benefactors represent.

Qurbanies are performed with all Islamic sensitivities in mind. A large number of qurbani animals are prepared by taking into account the demand that may occur during the Eid-al-Adha and the disruptions that may occur in the field. Villages in need for the prepared sacrificial animals are personally visited and determined at the place of need.

After the regions and villages where the qurbanies will be performed are determined, the quranies in each region are prepared by our own team with the necessary tools and equipment. Our representatives, who work in the region throughout the year, deliver the qurbans entrusted to them with their experience in the most accurate way, together with our volunteers.

Slaughter and Distribution of Wacib Qurbani

Our association's permanent representatives in the field and our volunteers from Turkey conduct their inspections in the areas where sacrifices will be made. Then, the slaughter of the qurbans, whose power of attorney is taken in accordance with Islamic procedures, is made by our experienced teams for their owners.

The family members and tribal chiefs in each village are spoken to in their own language, conveying that the qurbani meats are a gift from their Muslim brothers. Our officials do not leave their places until the qurbanies distributed equally to the houses. The qurbani slaughter, which is done by paying attention to all the details, continues.

According to the Hijri Calendar, the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th days of the Dhul Hijjah is Eid-ul Adha (The Feast of the Sacrifice). It is Wajib (Compulsory) for every Muslim who possess Nisab (minimum amount of wealth requiring them to pay Zakat) according to the Hanafi school of thought. The Qurbani that is sacrificed, is sacrificed for the person who slaughtered it, and it is hoped that with the first blood, all the sins of the owner of the Qurbani will be forgiven.

So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]. (Al-Kawthar, verse 2)

According to the Hijri Calendar, the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th days of the Dhul Hijjah is Eid-ul Adha (The Feast of the Sacrifice). The animal to be sacrificed must be selected in accordance with Islamic rules. Since this subject requires expertise in animal knowledge, professional support must be obtained.

The animal should be taken to the place where it is to be slaughtered. The Islamic rules must be followed in the slaughtering process and the animal must be slaughtered by mentioning (Dhikr) the name of Allah without hurting the animal.

Qurbani meat should be divided into three parts; leaving the first part to the family as a nafaqah, consuming the second part at the feast with friends, and the last part as sadaqah to the poor.

One can distribute more than one piece or even the whole sacrifice to the poor.

Humankind (son of Adam) did not do anything more pleasant than shedding blood in the sight of Allah on the day of sacrificing. That sacrifice will come with horns, hair and nails on the day of judgment. Before the blood of the sacrifice falls to the ground, it is immediately accepted by God. For this reason, do not be disturbed because of the sacrifice you have cut, and your heart should be pleasant. ” (Ibn Maja, Edahi: 3 - Hadith)

The Qurbani must be slaughtered by Qurbani's owner or a reliable Muslim person who recieved the Wakalah (Permission) from the Qurban's owner.
